Cool there will be a beta though. Wonder what the requirements will be or if it's a free for all to test (didn't see any mention of it in the article). Hopefully it's a free for all beta and anyone in the US can play it.

EDIT: From another article, it appears the demo/beta will be put on MarketPlace for anyone in the US to download.

So when is the beta suposed to be released?

Xbox 360's sold in Europe should just come with a complementary kick in the groin. I feel so special living in Europe.

- Premium costs around $550.
- Instead of a price drop, we get something that we really don't need or want. Don't even remember what that was or is going to be.
- Live costs a lot, at least compared to US or Japan ($82 / year)
- No exclusive free games, no tv-shows or movies, no nothing.
- Prizes exchanged for gamerscore never made it to Europe, thanks for the lies though Microsoft.
- $69 games are too pricey? Try $95, Guitar Hero 2 is around $120. Classics-series isn't much better, around $50.

Wonder where's that amazing content that I was promised when I bought this.

Disappointing news . After seeing them demo the game and announce the multiplayer beta at E3 I was really looking forward to this, ah well.

Maybe they see this as just a U.S. "hit" and don't want to spend the money on bandwidth elsewhere?

I think it's unfair though -- since you are paying for a gold membership.

It could have something to do with the location of the beta servers. I'm not exactly sure how betas are deployed on the production XBL network.

Because of course, no one outside of the US will be playing this game online...

Its a BETA test, relax. There is no PC, PS3, and now non-US participants. Ever think that maybe they have good reason to do so ?

Like maybe they are just focusing on netcode and want to keep a tight control group? So, no other hardware and no high latency gamers.

whats the point of a beta if its not going to provide feedback of the real world usage. I am in the UK and am always playing with yanks.... so not having us Europeans on the beta makes it pointless, might as well just be a systyem link test.

as for the update, it reads that the pc test will be global, 360 not. so what dissapointment they take away they replant squarely in your nust shortly after.

Great, more bullshit from the US. They do realise that they've got a ton of xbox players from other countries right? The games are not played by americans only. Everyone should be allowed to play the beta.

If ithe beta was being released for Europe only instead (yeah, I know I'm only dreaming, MS clearly hate us here) then I'm pretty sure YOU you would be pretty upset by now. Try see it from our side for once! We in Eur (and UK) ALWAYS get shafted by MS... we get no competitions or rewards, no movies to DL, we miss alot of free content that US gets, we have alot more expensive games, we dont get the soon-to-come 360 pricecut and now the final insult, we can't even play all games that you can!

I can only agree with other posters here ... "cunts" is a great word describing my feelings for MS and their business model right now.
