Ok, I followed a guide to flash my TS drive with Xtreme 5.2 firmware
It told me to use KDX 1.5 to patch my original firmware which i did, and it said to copy the key that appears in the window, it DID NOT however tell me to paste it again after i loaded in the modified firmware. So yep I ended up flashing the modded firmware without my drive key on it.
Does this mean I now have a bricked drive? It still plays DVDs but not games.
Ive been reading about bad flash recovery methods but can I not just re-flash my original firmware as i have backed it up onto my PC drive.
I have tried to do this but it comes up with this error when using mtkflash
"something"=00 should be 70
Port:9e0 Master/slave:a0
or something like that (I use an Nforce4 onboard Sata chipset I know its a Sata prob and I use the modified mtkflash for nforce4).
It was coming up with that error before tho when i had an untouched drive but I somehow got round it and flashed the drive, so is that error msg cos of my nforce Sata or because it cant flash my wrongly flashed drive? I dont see why i cant just flash the origninal firmware back thats on my PC...any ideas?
Thanks guys
