Before hooking up my disassembled 360 to my computer, I popped the eject button back in, plugged in the power/video cables, and replaced the faceplate (is there another way to get at the power button?), just to make sure everything still worked. While I was able to power on just fine, the eject button is unresponsive. Is there a trick to putting it back in besides just popping it in there? Popping it out seemed to go fairly smooth. I'd go fiddle with it more, but I really don't want to break anything (I hope I didn't already...)

Any help is greatly appreciated
thanks
john

You have to make sure the bottom part of the eject button is in the hole.

do you have the xbox cover (the white shell) on or off? if its off, it can sometimes have the problem of not reaching the eject button because the shell isnt putting it in its place
