For some reason I couldn't private message you earlier, so I'll just try posting here. I wanted to thank you for all your help with flashing my drive. I'm glad that it was in a recoverable state too, because I thought that I had completely broken my dvd drive somehow when I was attempting to flash it myself. Make sure you keep the firmware dump backup I sent to your email safe. If you should ever need to update the custom firmware on your drive in the future that can be used to create the updated firmware and you can flash it to your drive via software only for now on without needing to take the drive apart again.

I just wanted to chime in that having Erick @ Prestige-Mods.com mod my xbox360 was quite possibly the easiest thing I've ever done. Having a Jasper arcade model I had a ton of questions on whether or not the system could be jtagged as well as needing the latest fw on my drive. Erick was nothing short of being extremely helpful and answered all my questions without making me feel like an idiot.

I ended up sending him my system and asking for the jtag + fw. Turned out that my date of manufacture was 2 days AFTER the last known working jtag console and before doing anything, Erick contacted me and gave me a few options and let me decide. Unfortunately the system couldn't get jtagged so he refunded some of my money and sent the system back to me in record time.

Yup June 18th is the latest known model before they updated the CB killing all future JTAG consoles.

Such a shame too and fully disappointing considering how close to that date your console was.

At least your drive was able to be flashed so not all was lost.

I've got a Jtag Jasper 256mb with xbr3. It is already jtagged and working great but I want to know how much it would cost to have the new freeboot installed with freestyle dash and dashlaunch? I don't have the original nand for the console.

I guess I can do that for $30 but you got to consider 2 tings.

1. There is a nice homebrew app called flash360. With it you can read the current nand. Then you can boot xell but turning your console on by hitting the eject button and get your CPU key. With the combination of your nand dump and your cpu key you can use a nice app called Freeboot Toolbox to create a proper freeboot image that you can flash to your nand using that same nice flash360 homebrew app. All this can be done without even taking your console apart.

2. The current freeboot is somewhat out dated now that the new fall dashboard is out. There may be a newer freeboot out at some point "nobody knows for sure about this". But chances are good that at some point some team will create a hacked dashboard out of the new fall update.

Ether way it is up to you just let me know what you decide. If you want to try and save yourself some money you can try option 2.

I appreciate the help. I was able to get it changed to the newest freeboot within about 10 minutes. I guess I need to keep more up to date with the new programs that are always coming out, makes things very easy.
