Is their a utility tolike rip dvds, and then encode them to whatever format u wanted to? Like .bin, or divbx or avi or something? im talking a prog that lets u do it from the xbox directly.

you can rip them... don't expect to encode them.

same way you rip a game, but you wont be able to do anything with em.

no, XBMP can play the .vob files.

what i do is rip the dvd 2 my pc make a divx or vcd then ftp it 2 the xbox wot would be nice is a app that can do all that

My tools for ripping DVDs are:

-SmartRipper (Ripping and Decrypting)
-DVD2AVI (Converting to TMPGEnc file to handle all .VOBs and re-encode audio to .wav)
-TMPGEnc (Encode to MPEG-1)
-Nero (Burn the VCD)

I've just ripped the files directly to my box from the dvd before, and had no trouble. XBMP played them fine, although they were pretty big.
