I did lawdawg's replacement, and I am still getting 3 rings. 0022 to be exact. I have tried it multiple times, and I keep getting the same result. Keep in mind that I did the full tutorial; even overheating and I applied the AS5. Does anyone have any ideas of something else it might be? Please let me know. Thanks!

Does it go straight to the Rings with nothing at all on the TV screen?

The 360 will try to boot, but takes some time to get to the rings.(about 10-15 seconds?) Nothing on the TV. I am stumped. The heatsyncs don't seem to run very hot(After I cooled it down after the overheating); yet it still shows the rings.

I am having the exact same problem. I did the x-clamp about a month ago and it worked, I decided to take reapply teh thermal paste with AS5 so I took off the clamp, applied new paste, put clamp back in, and 3ROL are back with 0022 and 0021 depending on the screw torque settings.

Has anyone tried the 12 cent fix with 0022? Ive read heat gun to the southbridge has worked.

I have read that the CPU might be lifted a bit. Someone said that messing with the screws might solve the problem, so I am going to try that. Any feedback from anyone who knows of a fix will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
