Hi guys I'm new to the xbmc and picking things up as I go along (ftp, scripts, networking, etc) but seem to have hit a snag with Kai?

I've got games on my xbmc that I want to play online - halo 2, of course - and have followed all the instructions required to use Kai. I've got Kai link on my xbmc and I've read that I also have to have the engine running on my PC for it to work.

This is where I'm stuck because I downloaded the windows XP set up exe from here -

http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/?go=download

BUT... my PC refuses to install it saying that "Installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package"?

Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated....

your windows installer is messed up .. http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/wininstallnt.html

if that doesn't fix it you can download this www.hicaow.com/stuff/xkainew.rar .. unrar it to a folder and run kailaunch.exe ..

XBMC is just a UI and not needed to use kai .. do this ..

load halo2 on the xbox and go to the system link option ..

load kai on your PC (once you get it running) , click the globe at the top left , navigate to the halo2 arena ..

play ..
