I'm also getting mine after school tomorrow, though its all im going to be thinking about all day!

Since I've already played it, tomorrow doesn't seem very special. I'm not missing anything because of it.

Yeah brother already has the game because apparently he has hookups, and I know he didn't pirate it cause he isn't that technical. Too bad I'm at school and have no 360 of my own, yet. Maybe tomorrow I'll pick them both up.

Ha, I wish. I probably know about 10 kids who're going to skip, but I'm not. Damn AP classes...

I'll probably play for 7 hours straight AFTER school, but not during.

ill do ya one better. I used to live 2 hours from where i am now and thats where my preorder is. I got legendary about a year ago so i really have no choice. I have to drive there and then drive home.

I now await the UPS truck with my copy on it.

I'm gonna get mine before I go into work tomorrow.

Can't call in cos the boss is out for the week and I have to babysit the newbies at my job.

I'm pretty excited, but I can wait a few more hours

My computer science teacher told us on the first day of class that we would not be meeting on sept. 25th because he would be at home playing Halo. What sucks for me is I also have linear algebra so I have to go, and since I ride a 1/2 hour bus in the morning I have to go to school all day anyways. =/

yeah, I'm totally sick of halo.. at least its finally out and the hype can fade away.

Way too short. Great game but took less than a weekend to gamerscore 800pts and beat it.

As for halo... I still can't stand the game. ( )

Short version: Friends subjected me and my new (and only) xbox to 70+ hours of continuous Halo....

After that you just can't enjoy a game.

But I have a lot of fanboy friends that do intend to skip work just to play halo 2.5HD hehehe

No wonder so many of us are so "stupid" in america! Halo 3 sucks by the way... lol

I have to disagree with the 2.5 statement..


I played halo in the ground, thought 2 was a 1.5...cuzz in all seriousness it was...

but when i played through 3 on legendary with my best friend, it actually was FUN to play...and i love how you cant dual wield certain guns now, thank the fuck god....


even multiplayer was great, 3-4 player split screen was more then satisfying...

although i did see a huge bump in graphics when goen from split screen to single player (which i liked)

dont ask me why (probly no difference) but it just looked nicer for some reason...


either way Halo 3 is probly my favorite...


Halo, Halo 3, Halo 2 i used as a clay pigeon, and haven't regretted it since...

that's great that a teacher would even take the day off...

as for me, i played last night and then worked this morning...nights without much sleep doesn't really phase me as i am on call quite a bit anyways...

Halo 3 is even more impressive than my expectations...

A HUGE amount of kids skipped at my school today... including myself.

My friend came over at midnight and we played co-op campaign.

I got my copy a few days ago and I don't work on weekends so I just had a little lan at my house for the weekend

My friend and I skipped our morning classes, played til 7:30 AM.

With halo2 I totally took the day off of work, went to the midnight release, played and played and played.

This time around, I just have too much going on: started a new job and don't have very much vacation time and don't want to call in sick and look bad - have a test at school tonight, a paper for class to do wednesday, thursday class....and my weekend is already booked!

but it's cool, i'll get to play when i get to play, its not like the community is going to die down in 2 weeks, or even 2 years.

still....can't fucking WAIT!

My boss and I were talking about this game all day yesterday. He asked me if I was gonna get it at the midnight sale, and hadn't really planned on it, but after thinking about it all day, I had to.

On my way in this morning, I called him to say I wouldn't be coming to work. He was fine with it and didn't even think about Halo 3. Could've gotten a free day off! I told him I was fucking around and that I'd picked it up, but that I was still gonna work today. Oh well. Still more money in my pocket.

not because of halo but i ended up taking the day off anyway... might as well play some...

I teach college classes, and I canceled tonight's meeting.

Jebus... its only a game, I would never skip anything to play a game =P. Not even a meal...

At work now, i brought my system and my copy of halo with me. ive been playing it since 3 am and i just took a break to grab some food.

I work at a very slow radioshack, so theres no customers and hd tv's. i couldnt pass it up.

Yeah skipping school is going a bit too far. I got it at midnight and played for an hour, woke up, played for another hour then went to class. I got there only to find no professor. Class was cancelled (hmmm, I wonder why...?). I had another class in an hour and a half so there was no real point in going to play some more. An hour of Halo time wasted. I wish they'd email us to let us know when not to show up.

Yeah, a lot of people took the day off. Lucky I wish I could have.
