I am trying to update the flash on my hitachi xbox 360 drive, but I have changed my OS to Windows XP 64 bit, and none of c4eva's software will run. Is there a way to get it to work without uninstalling and going back to a 32 bit OS?

I have tried vmware running XP Home, giving the virtual workstation exclusive access to the drive, but it complains about dma programming mode.

As another alternative, is there a way to flash the drive in linux?

My only other alternative is waiting about 2 weeks and ordering a usb adapter and using my laptop to do this, but i would rather not spend the money.

Thanks for the help.

I have seen way too many bad flashes and problems with people flashing their 360's in 64 bit OS's (XP and Vista) that I would have to say to install 32 bit XP to flash it.
