It's been fine for a good year or so but now, if I use the Xbox, I have to leave at least an hour between shutting down and powering up. Otherwise it ignores the chip altogether and boots to MS Dash.
I figure it's the main board getting hot and making a poor connection with the solderless adaptor, right?
But I've had it open loads of times, checking the D0 connection, tightening the adaptor screw. No joy.
Heck, I'd love to get it soldered in but I know I WILL destroy it
Anyway, is this what's happening? Am I barking up the wrong tree? Help?
