Of course like all noobs I was worried about temperatures when I put my new HD in my v1 box.
So wot did I do ?
I got the biggest drill bit i could find and proceeded to drill lots and lots of holes in the HD tray !
I made sure I didnt reduce the structural strength of the tray by much, by staying away from the corners and supports, it also had a side effect of pulling a bit of weight out of the box ( not much though).
I dont have pictures, I cant prove it made any difference, it just seemed like a goodish idea at the time.
I havent had any probs with temps but that means nothing.
