Sorry if this has been covered before, but the search engine wouldn't work for me.
Anyway, I use my xbox mainly as a media player for playing music and videos from my PC upstairs, but use XBMC as I couldn't find a media player that will play everything within Avalaunch.
Am I missing something as I'd much prefer the Avalaunch dash as it's much more friendly.

Team Ava has said that they would make a new UI that supported video playing and such, but as for the last couple years, they haven't even made an effort to show they are alive. So IMHO, I think Team Ava is pretty much dead.

As for dash, you can still use avalaunch and have XBMC as an app in the list. This is what I do.
