Hi...I was reading on another site how to create a usb adapter for my xbox. I was wondering if could use my usb hard drive to transfer the needed files to softmod my xbox. Has anyone tried this? Will it work for me? It's an 80gig drive in case that is an issue, but i do have many smaller hard drives that i could put in it if this would help.

No a USB HDD will just show as a big memory card so is no use for softmodding other than to transfer a game save exploit.
do you have a PC you can FTP the new dash onto the XBOX with? You can use your your usb card to mod your xbox without even opening it up!
