Hi,

I got my burner today and I installed it. I also have the Samsung 162C drive. Now I copied a game to my PC and that worked fine, but when it came time to copy it this is what happened:

I selected my PIONEER 112D which has a BLANK Verbatim DVD+R DL. I picked the ISO file and it gave me an error. It was saying CAN'Y ACCESS DRIVE (E) Only for exclusive use.

I had 3 options to pick from: IGNORE, RETRY, CANCEL. I ignored it and it started burning, but I don't know if it will work because it is still burning.

Why did I get that message? Does it have to do with the way I set up the setting (SLAVE, MASTER) pin thing?

I have the two drives connected to with the same IDE cable. The first is set to MASTER which is my SAMSUNG Drive and the Second is set to SLAVE which is my burner. Is that correct? Please let me know if you can help.

Nothing is running except for ADOBE (THE 360 TUTORIAL) and FIREFOX.
It is still burning the DVD, but I don't know if it will work.

Im getting my PIONEER 112 delivered today so hope i dont get this error.

I will update you when i get it.

So is having the burner as the slave and the samsung as the master the right way to do it as thats how i was planning to set it up aswell

just making sure. you got the master drive on the farthest plug and the slave on the other plug.

just making sure. you got the master drive on top and the slave on bottom.

I got my SAMSUNG drive (READER to COPY GAMES) as the MASTER on the secondary EDI cable (The HD is connected with the PRIMARY EDI)
Then my Pioneer burner is connected as the SLAVE on the secondary drive.

It is weird because when I click IGNORE it burns it perfectly. I will leave everything the way it is and just click on IGNORE everytime I burn a DVD or CD.

I had this problem with this drive but it only happened once. I let it burn anyway and it worked fine. Hasn't happened since. Just don't open any other program that might use your burner at the same time you're burning.
