does it move?

or shoot rockets?
flashfreak
The thing looks crap. Looks like some kid has just gotten some clay and called himself "Nightmare Armor Studios".

Seriously, I havent looked into great detail on the rocket launcher, but that does not look like it. And wheres the "hold like this" diagram and the big SPNKR logo?
twistedsymphony
That rocket launcher doesn't look anything like the one in the game...

this is the launcher:

This is a much better replica: http://www.camceiling.com/halo/Index

The one in the auction sucks.... sleep.gif
OffRoader23
Yeah really, it might have looked semi-better if they had done all the stickers...The model doesn't look too bad but theres no detail in it compared to the real one.

@twistedsymphony

That is a MUCH better replica, you're very right.

Yeah, that is some serious crap...can't believe (or BELIEVE in M$ marketing speak) that the thing is already up to over 150 bones. I also can't believe the guy put a reserve on the auction higher than that.

If I were to buy the Legendary Edition for $130, and hot glue the helmet statue to this rocket launcher, and then sell the whole deal, I wouldn't be able to sell it for even the Limited Edition price.

I should almost make it my mission to make something better looking than that...out of paper mache, no less, for a bit more of a challenge...
jeff10
damn if thats going for that price, Im gonna get some metal and make one that actually shoots potatos, a master chief rocket launcher potato gun, hell to the yeah, all i need is a mig welder and its a done deal.

Ebay here I come,

does it work?
englishnamja
some dickhe*d has brought too many camel coloured soap bars and desided to make a rocket launcher?? what kinda moron would wanna buy this...?? its not like anybody will think its a rocket launcher... just looks like something from a oil rig in the north sea...pointless, crappy detail, looks like soap with bits of metal stuck in... BLAH...if one of you eventually buy this... PLEASE message me so i can laugh at you daily...! biggrin.gif

and it looks like that is the exact person they are looking to buy this thing.

to echo everyone's responses, this does not look professionally done at all, and how can they claim in all caps that the rocket launcher has "GREAT" detail when there really is not much detail at all as the majority of the replica is just smooth.

and how is it 24 pounds - or is that just another way to make some more cash by charging the $60 that they are asking for shipping?

if you make something Halo-related and call it "rare" or "collectible", then you can easily make a profit from some fool...
mlmadmax
That looks like a giant turd, whoever buys that is just lame. Also it looks nothing like the one from in the game i thought replicas were supposd to be accurat. Thumbs down from me sad.gif
1nsan3
Looks like the exhaust off of my car outside!!
like the other guys said, I should smak a bunch of crap togather and call it a halo launcher!!

hell i can take a pvc pipe stick a picture of halo on it and it would sell , if theres that many retards out there!!
Exobex
I'm going to take a dump, freeze it then carve the Halo 3 logo into it with a Dremel. Only one ever made. I'll make a fortune on eBay!
codecxbox
Hey, its good for blasting Chinese 360 factories, hehe. 3 R'sOD is a LOCKUP!!!
gabe681
The pic's are not of the greatest quality, The thing looks like it is made out of clay or something. Point being it looks like it may fall apart when it gets picked up and thrown on the shoulder. Although the idea is great! It would be really cool if someone made one that looked authentic and fired patato's or something.

Or play paintball!! Team Spartan 117 Gotcha Go!!
Bubbalynch
Let's just pretend for a minute that this thing was an exact replica and had great detail to accompany the design.

You people would buy this?

I would still laugh at you. Shit like this makes me ashamed to be a computer/gaming nerd.

Yeah I though it looked a bit funny without the labels and stuff on it. Its gotta have SPNKr on it! lol laugh.gif

To be honest id rather try and build on myself... what did they make it out of? Is it like aluminum or something like PVC pipe?

danielmid
Potato guns are legally considered firearms, therefore you would not be able to sell it on eBay if you made such a device.
Method2kh
I'm a huge fan of Halo in general, but when I saw this replica, I had to hold back tears of disappointment. sad.gif
Vfreitas
It looks like someone who just started this profession put this one together. No real detail and it just has that cheap'ish look to it. I don't know, just doesn't catch my eye.
darkmike57
Im surprised at how bad it looks. NAS usually makes quality replicas.
