I really have hit a brick wall on this one. Please note that I have read a lot of the guides on this site.

I tried to burn Beautiful Katamari on Memorex DVD+R DL.

However, none of them read in the 360 and gives me the Open Tray message. I have a Hitachi in the 360 but it can read Memorex as I have a backup on a Memorex and it works. This backup was not done by me however.

I am buring with a Sony DRU-800A burner. I followed the following steps in DVD Decrypter.

Went to settings and changer the layer break. As well went to the Drive Booktype setting and changed to DVD-Rom. I even tried patching my firmware to LiteOn SOHW-1693S Codeguys Firmwares

I am going to try to buy some verbatim today. But I just want to make sure that I am not missing a setting before I go and buy them since my 360 can play memorex DL.

Can anyone please help me out and let me know if I am missing a big piece of the puzzle? I have also tried burning with XBCR and Clone CD.

the modder wanted to test it when i first modded my system...nhl something...don't even play it anyways...regardless......just got a pioneer 112D gonna try to burn using that...

anything i am missing however from the above step?

yes , to have read the rules. You are obviously not using games for which you have the original.
