Well, it finally happened to me. My 360 just got the 3 red rings after freezing while playing Halo 3 on live.

Ive rung up M$ and done the usual thing, they gave me a reference number, etc...
Im pretty pissed off about it... But at least the guy said he'd send a 1 month subscription with my 360 when it got fixed to make up for the time im loosing on live. They guy on the phone was really quite nice.

So, I just need a couple of questions answered about the Australian 360 repair service and peoples experiences with it.

So, how long does it take usually?

What happens if my 360 magically starts working again when they receive my 360? (Ive heard 360's can start working again after being knocked around, eg, in the mail) Will they just send it back, or will they fix it anyway?

Will they stick that new kind of GPU heatsink on it or something like that?

I never though id be the victim of this, after having owned about 7 xbox's (cause I like to mod them and sell them again), and this was the 360 im going to permently keep.
