This is such bs!!! I can't believe how shoddy their r and d/quality assurance is...for a 300- 400 dollar piece of equipment. This is just sad.
I think when I lived in manhattan I once threw a new in a bag out like a 5 story window and it was still ticking...(was trying to toss it to a bud who dropped it....) but now i can't frigging power up a falcon without being worried! This is such a frigging mess. Someone needs to sue these guys......
1. Why would you throw it?
2. Sue? What for, cause you can’t play on your Xbox while it gets repaired? Oh you poor thing. I suppose it would cost $5m to comfort you!

I think this.
It blinks however many times to tell you the EXACT problem, and everytime the middle light flashes, it gives you another number of flashes
example
flash sequence 1
red red, green green, flash twice
number 2
flash sequence 2,
flashes 4 times
so on and you get something like,
4312
error code 4312, cpu failure, ya know?
or a mod

It could possibly be that, I currently have my fader hooked up to fade 2 green lights at the top and 2 red lights at the bottom... maybe they tinkered with the fader a little

This could be true, I own a falcon premium and it doesn't show 4 reds when no AV cable is connected, It doesn't show any red/green lights at all.
Seems they may have changed the codes a bit.
It's not.
They've removed the no-AV error code altogether. People were mistaking it for the RRoD.

Got mine back from the service center and it does this now. Got a letter saying I had tried to moded it, which is BS but now they wont touch it. If you plug the network cable in it gives you and E49 code and one flashing red light. so if someone has figured it out please let me know.

Hi all.
Same here, I flashed my Falcon with a Lite-On drive, worked perfect untill i got RROD.
I sent it to MS and recived my box yesterday.
With the box came a note telling me that I had "tempered with" the box and that MS only sent it back.
But when I turned on the box there was nolonger the RROD lights.
It was 2green & 2red lights-
Is MS punishing us for flashing boxes????

They probably do this so that if you try to send it back in they can easily identify that its been there before.
What countries are the people from who got this light combo when it came back?
I have had one tamper come back and it was not like this. just wondering if its a regional thing?

Damn, there's so less information about this Jasper bullshit.
I'm an experienced RROD fixer and this is NOT FAKE! So, please keep out fake believers.
Type mainboard is JASPER and also got it back from M$ with the "Tampered Letter".
The console was NEVER MODDED, but the console seal was broken, drive seal intact ofcourse.
M$ must have done something to it as the error was different before sending it in and the drive key is 100% INTACT, so there's all fine. Swapped all parts to check. Also error code CANNOT be read out using the connect+eject buttons.
It must be mainboard related, as the error changed after receiving from M$, it has to be the mainboard somewhere.

Fake...just some tool with a pimped Xbox 360.
Definately not fake, I have the same problem with a friends Xbox 360. Seems to happen to every one that has a new Falcon board (With Built In HDMI Output) Xbox and sends it to M$ to be repaired for something else, then is deemed tampered (even if it hasn't), comes back flashing 2 red lights & 2 greens, which alternate between the top and bottom sections of the ROL. Nothing shows up on the screen, so no error code is displayed. This is not funny and is a super major pain is the A$$. If anyone has had any success please Help.
Thank you.

If you read my earlier post, it links to where if the drive key on the MOTHERBOARD was set to all zeros. It did the same error so MS must have done that.

Something new on the front of the Red & Green flashing lights. When I hook up the ethernet cable to the xbox 360 the disco flashing stops and I can then connect a controller, and controller light 1 flashes up and stays on, but still nothing on the screen. I need you guys with the same problem to try hooking it up to your xbox live accounts if your game, to see if verifying that you have a valid xbox live account, frees up this stupid new error which I believe M$ has intentionally done this to these xboxes to teach naughty ppl copying games a lesson (How dare they, M$ I mean). I cant test it because its my friends live account & xbox 360, he's gone away on camp and has a passkey on both his accounts on his hdd. But it still may not work anyway. Oh and I checked the DVD Key and its still intact, M$ didnt mess with that, and we would get a different error anyway. I'll keep trying and let you all know if I have any other developments. PEACE.

So are you saying the Motherboard Key has been changed, as opposed to the key in the DVD Rom? If this is the case can we change the DVD Rom Key to get it working, or can we flash the Motherboard and/or change the key on the MB?

No, users cannot change the key in the motherboard (well you can but the requirements are huge) Changing the dvd drive one to zeros wouldn't work because its the key in the mobo thats causing the error not just because it's mismatched to the dvd. for example a lost key xbox wouldnt do this error if you flashed the wrong key to the drive.
Its probably MS's way of killing off the console for once and good, because it was sent back for tampering they can easily identify that scenario incase someone tried resending it back.

well i have been repairing the red ring of death for some time now and i got one given to me to fix that originally got sent back to microsoft for red ring of death which has now got the two red and two green alternating lights problem. and its an old 360 with a non hdmi mobo. some people think it may be the rf module but i noticed if you purposely over heat it you will get the over heating error and the two left lights glowing. im gonna try switching rf boards and see if that helps. let me know if any one has yet to shed light on this bug.

Well i see everyone that sent back a broken seal modded 360 was asking for something to happen to them. You all thought Microsoft would be Tardly and fix it for ya:lol: Seems Microsoft killed ya 360 for the time being

So they aint so Tardy now:lol: It is wrong for Microsoft to do that ,but is also wrong for yall knowing ya have broken seals and trying to send it in like a tard. If the seal was intact while the dvd drive was flashed then ya 360 would have been fixed.

Thia is not a fake....very rare issue. I have a console that shows alternating green & red lights. Its not a cold solder joint issue as it will actually spin up a game but then stop in about 10sec. If I insert a controller it allocates to port. If I insert an ethernet cable the flashing stops...but cannot get anything on screen.
I have reflowed the GPU,CPU, RAM and Southbridge, performed Xclamp fix....no change. Also I checked the drive firmware and key all looks normal.
Im stumped

I can confirmed that is not a fake .
I've been doing alot of nand dump to get the cpu key and when i reflash the nand back to original sometime it does that with xeon motherboard.
I simply keep trying to reflash the original dump back to the nand and its fixing it.
Sometime the xbox is booting black screen and flashs 1 red light , sometime E71 , something 2red 2green, sometime 3 red light , its only due to bad nand writing.

WOW
After 4 years of working with Xbox 360's, I now have one of these that flashes 2 red, and 2 green. Purchased it for £10 from a friend, he did send it off to MS and they sent it him back saying it was tampered, when he gave it me the seal was broken, and it's already had the xclamps replaced lol, serves him right for not checking.

Nov 27 2009, 04:10 PM
very odd, as already said, placing a lan cable into it gives a normal 1 red light, this now allows you to get an E49 error on screen.
and an Xbox error code of 0341

In reply to this, actually its true. I sent my xbox back to ms and they sent it back unfixed a they said it had been tampered with. Im now looking at someone fixing the rrod and after plugging it back in it does exactly the same thing and i came online to see if someone else had the same issue as a i cannot work it out....

this is real.. i seen it a few times back when i fucked up a few consoles learning how to jtag.. im not sure exactly what it was but im pretty sure this is some sort of nand issue.. i remember vaguely that my first couple jtags were screwed from super bad nand writes and sparks coming from the cable <-- lol

I've been having this problem after sending my 360 in to microsoft... Turns out a refurbished 360 from gamestop can't be fixed by microsoft. Didn't know that... But anyways. I've been searching all over the internet and I got one fix that seemed to work for me. But I still have the problem I had pre- microsoft. When I first read the fix I was like that is dumb and will never work. But I tried... I plugged in my hard drive and it didn't do the green and red lights thing. Now all I have to do is fix the overheating problem... Stupid 360... Hopefully this might help others.
