I think Banjo Kazooie because Microsoft wants RARE to make Halo 4 for them while Bungie works on something else for the time being.

Well I could live with a Halo Wars cancellation. I would be very disappointed if either Banjo Kazooie or Alan Wake gets canceled.

Far out, I hope its not alan wake, ive been waiting for that game for years. And i dont think it'd be halo wars. From this years E3 trailer, it looked absolutely amazing and too far along to be scratched. Im suprised so many ppl dont care if it went.

I'd bet it's the new Banjo Kazooie. We've barely seen or heard anything about it. I've only seen a CGI video teaser for it from some MS press conference over a year ago. It's never been mentioned in my gaming magazines, never on the websites for gaming I visit, and it's definitely 1st party. On top of all that, Rare is doing horrible according to everyone's expectations.

What a shame, too.... The original Banjo Kazooie on the N64 was the last great 3d platformer I've played (and Conker 64 I think, too).

Has too be Too Human now that i think of it. It's been in development for 8 years now. With all the law suits with Epic including the accusation by Epic that SK is illegally using UE3 technology in their new engine it's the most likely title to get the axe.

A first party title is a title developed and published by the company that makes the hardware . Halo is not a first party title as it was created, designed, and programed by Bungie. Microsoft (the creators of X-Box) only bought the rights to Halo 1,2 and 3 and was not actually involved in the creative process. any game by Microsoft Game Studios
is probably it.

Too Human getting canned is fine by me. The last video I saw on it had a trite fight in a bar that played every cliche in the book.

Fable2 cancelled & Peter Molyneux for the axe... don't want to see either happen, but it's where I'm betting my money.

I bet on too human, from the trailers and videos, the game plain sucks.

You can see framerate problems recorded on the videos themselves.... and the combat system looked sooooooooo retarded that this game never caught my attention.

Microsoft didn't buy the rights to Halo, they own the rights to everything Halo related. They Just no longer own Bungie. Also Bungie is not making Halo Wars, Ensemble Studios is making it. Ensemble Studios happens to be owned by Microsoft, making Halo Wars a first party game. This means that this mystery game that has been canned could be Halo Wars but I say 99.9% chance it isn't. My guess would be Bangie Kazoo.

I believe Rare is mentioned in Halo 3's credits because a sound effect from Viva Pinata is used when you headshot a Grunt with the Grunt Birthday Party Skull activated.

First off.. As soon as I see N4G as one of the story sources it immediately goes into the trash. That site is THE WORST gaming news site on the internet and basically the ghetto trash hell of loser fanboys. Then you have Shane "I give good head to Sony" B. who says more crap than truth.

I could live with Halo Wars being cancelled. From what I have seen so far, it's a disgrace to the franchise.

I could care less about Alan Wake, I've never been interested in it to look anything up about it. But I thought Alan Wake was coming out for the PS3 as well (maybe not).

I hope it's not Too Human, so far it has really interested me. If Silicon Knights can pull it off the way they describe it, then it will be a very good game.

I just can't see it being Fable 2. The first game sold over a million copies... it's a sure fire bet as far as MS is concerned.

As sad as it makes me, my money is on Banjo 3 as the game and Ken Lobb as the staff member. He has been a big believer in Rare right from the start. If there is going to be any fallout from a Rare game cancellation, it'll be Lobb.

Hey everybody a moderator in the Alan Ake forums said that it is not their game that has been cancelled.
And 2 devs from Lionhead also said that it was not Fable that was getting cancelled.

It should be Too Human, its not a clear cut 1st party game but it is a game that has had a super long creation period, it is greatly awaited. It makes sense: the lawsuits and all the crap they had with epic about the Unreal Engine...
If you wiki that game you'll notice that it says that it uses the silicon knights engine(moded unreal 3 engine)

Im sure that their battle with epic will end up that they will get cash from epic, but wont be able to use the engine and wont be able to use their moded version of the engine since it would be built on top of the unreal engine...

that game has been in Dev for so f***ing long that im still surprised it doesnt get the duke nukem forever treatment !!!

Too Human looks like ass. Animation in that E3 trailer was horrible, and the characters were generic and forgettable. Its a lost cause for MS I think.
