Hi guys I've desided to buy myself a mod-chip for my B-day coming up real soon. I've never installed a mod-chip before since it required soldering wink.gif So my question is very simple if I buy this mod-chip here. I don't have to do any soldering at all? Correct? blink.gif The only thing I would have to do is flash the BIOS and that's pretty much it. Right?

If I do have to solder then I'll just let a pro do it for me. cool.gif

Yes, Xecuter 2.0 lite + is a soldless mod chip. Why don't you wait a couple of days for 2.1 lite +?

That chip is a good choice if this is your first mod. I have had alot of different mods and in my opinon xectuor is the best by far. They make quality chips.

Xecuter chips are by far the best. smile.gif beerchug.gif

I agree! They all do one thing, shut down the TSOP with the M$ bio. beerchug.gif

They are not ALL the same! Executer will let you have multi-bios, and supports future 1mb bioses...

I recommend the X-ecutor 2.1 Lite Plus only if you absolutely cannot solder. The X-ecutor 2.1 Lite(solder) has no advantages over the Lite Plus(nonsolder) except for the fact that it's a better connection to the motherboard (if the Xbox shakes it will stay soldered, and not come undone like what possibly could happen to a Lite+). Try to see if you can find a friend who can solder the chip for you; if not, go with Lite+.

Also, if you are unsure at this moment, you always could install the Lite+ the pogopin way now, and if you want a solder connection in the future, put electrical tape on the bottom of the pogo pins and solder wires from the top of the pogo pins to their corresponding points on the motherboard.

Those are features. All mods have the same goal. "To disable the M$ orginal BIOS"

The Cham also has those features.

Thanks for all the help guys you have helped me out a lot. I guess I can wait a few days or so until the new Xecuter 2.1 lite plus comes out (no solder) smile.gif

|darc| said something about a "pogo-pin" is that the thing you need to turn off the mod-chip when playing X-box live or is it to flash the BIOS? blink.gif
