ok been at my ms28 for says and tried with 2 different pc my own wich flashed a ms 25 no probs with on board sata, and an old pc wich had onboard via 8287 but still did not find the 360 when flashing is it a must have for the 6421, if so wheres the best place in uk to order one from

I'd say both your onboard SATA and the VIA 8287 are incompatible with the MS28. Before spending money on a new VIA SATA card though, you could try searching the forum for MS28 because there are people who use different ways to get their drive recognised e.g. Guide V2.0: Ms28+fussy Via Card. As for buying a VT6241 card in the UK, here's one I found in an earlier post (but shop around!): http://www.shinyhardware.co.uk/cats/SATA/2723

I got one off eBay for $AUD20 including postage.

If you do get a VT6241 it can be used for all current drives, including the new BenQs.
