I read the forums here and read that the Pioneer DVR-111/112 is the best for 360 backups. So i went to go buy it. Ive been backing up my games previously with my Sony DRU-820A and they work fine but sometimes the game freezes. Now after burning one of my backup on the Pioneer DVD-112d, im getting nothing but read errors from the 360. here are the specs
Backup with SH-D162C
Burned with
Pioneer 112D Firmware 1.22
Master (Primary IDE)
Verbatim DVD+R DL
2.4x = DRE
4x = DRE
Sony DRU-820A
Verbatim DVD+R DL
External on Enclosure (Previously as Master internally)
4x = Working fine so far
so what do you guys think the issue is? I thought buying the DVR-112d would eliminate the freezes that ive been getting but looks like it got worst. Please give me your thoughts guys

do you think its really the laser? Everything works fine on it. Xbox1 backups, and movies work fine on it. The only thing is that its throwing DREs on 360 games

tend to agree if you already had problem with your sony and now the pioneer,
clean laser lens, then pot calibration, then replace laser is the order.

thats very wierd because its currently on its second laser that ive installed. and i would say that this laser is used less than 5 hours in total. I've cleaned the lens internally and from a DVD lens cleaner. Still no changes.
