i have a benq drive which just will not flash successfully whichever method i use. i have tried frmware toolbox 4.5 and the supplied firmtool.exe method. i have no problem with the flash using dosflash 16 works everytime its just getting the modded firmware to work. when i flash back to original its fine.
any help much appreciated

The drive is not the problem, mate.

you can't flash a benq with toolbox!

Have you used the newsest firmtool (v 1.1)
And did you erase the benq before flashing?

Also, there's a new dosflash (1.4) which erases the benq better then before, this can help too.

What firmware revision (62430,64930,...) do you have? E66 is a version string issue but this is the first i have seen with benq to benq firmware creation.

this is the version i am using for firmtool not sure if it refers just to the package C4EVA_iXTRM-Benq V1.1

360 Firmware Toolbox doesnt copy your BenQ serial and that is why you shouldnt use it. If you didnt spoof to 64930 in 360 Firmware Toolbox, thats why you are getting E66.

i am totally lost with this now. i bought 2 360's with benq drives and an elite with a benq drive, everything was fine apart from when i did the firmware i used iprep101 this time. i read the firmware but got errors on the erasing step. i then checked the original firmware and the created hacked firmware and the keys were the same. i erased then flashed in dosflash (latest). this worked fine on the 2 standard 360's but on the elite i got 1 red light error 66 as with the original machine i did to start this thread
there must be a difference in these drives for 2 out of 4 not to work.
any ideas anyone?
