I am at the point where I have driven the craft to the top of the four pillars (some have force fields) and there is a fan blowing mist at the top. None of the doors work, and there is no where to go. What do I do?

It's been a while since I played this but I think I know the area you are talking about.

You need to use your spirit form to walk through the force fields and then press the buttons on the other side. These will disable the shield. Then you you to use your ship again to pull a box out of the wall where the force field was protecting.
