ok ive had my 360 for a little over a yr and it was messing up for a month and just quit working i called microsoft and since my 2 yr warrenty wasnt put on the system they wont fix it why idk they are pricks lol

anyway to my point i cracked open my 360 lately and i opened up my dvd rom drive as well hook it up to see what it was doing my lens will flash twice them the motor will spin about 3 cm and stop its not doing anything a friend told me to go to ebay and check around for a new console so i did and found a console where a guy had refurbished his own box he just bought a new drive for his console

i tlaked to him and he had the same problem i did with the drive i was wondering if i got a new dvd rom drive would there be anything special like flashing or anything for it to work?
