I have been having a lot of difficulty bringing life back to my 360 after getting the 3rrod, 0022 error. My latest attempt was I added another set of washers to the cpu heatsink, so there is a bit less stress on the board, and same goes for the gpu. I went so far as warming up the board with a hair dryer, that it was pretty warm to the touch. I have a heatgun, but am weary about going that route. Well, after letting the board cool for about a half hour I put it back in the case and turned it on. Immediately I am greeted with the overheating signal. I let it cool for an additional hour...same error. This morning before heading out to work, I tried once again...same error. Any ideas? Thanks for reading =)

I would try to remove the extra set of washers you added, and use the hairblower. If you still get the RROD use the heatgun.
Should work.

ugh....what a doofus. I put too many washers that the cpu die wasn't touching the heatsink. Well...its now back to 3rrod =P
