Looks like Nintendo has leaned on stores because I've tried to buy from like 10 stores and no go. WTF?

They have been cracking down worldwide lately.

Regardless, you would be better off going with opensource (a firmware like YAOSM). WiiJii is a complete package (chip, programmer, etc. Everything you need to get going) for $15 + $5 Shipping.

Other complete packages are the Wii-Boss and YoWii. But, I have never had the opportunity to test them out. They should work about the same though.

damn, that's pretty cheap for 2. I guess the guy was just trying to dump, since most drives are now D2C.
