3 red lights is a hardware failure, not overheating, overheating could lead to 3RL but as of now you most likely have a GPU failure, tightening the waterblock is the only thing i can suggest

I tightened it but nothing. I stuck it in the freezer once before it turned on and then over heated after about 30 SECs

Did you take the film off the bottom of the waterblocks?
I installed liquid cooling a couple days ago and i forgot to take of the film which made the xbox turn of within ~5 seconds....I never got a 3ROL though

Yes i took off the film but it doesn't even try to turn on the power block stays yellow and doesn't even turn green it was like this before i put water cooling on it and i stuck it in the freezer once got it to turn on and it overheated 2 red lights! just outa curiosity though i stuck it in the freezer to see what that does. If it helps at all i have a original 360 from October 18 2005 if that has something to do with the error

Well, i dont know what to tell you, but i can tell you that its not a very good idea putting your 360 in the freezer because of the condensation that would get on the xbox and mess it up

RBJ TECHB. Which heat method do you recommend ? I don't recommend any .. but if you have to, then the only one I recommend is to just remove the power from the fans and let the chips and heatsinks heat up until you get the two red lights (ie overheating). Towel method is NOT recommended - it will kill other components on the board ...

Putting your 360 in the freezer is very bad for it.
It's what I recommend if you're trying to provoke 3RLoD.
The reason is that the cold air forms condensation all inside of the case on the mobo and the electrical components, which would turn to ice if left long enough in there.
This then begins to make small electrical connections between chips terminals and components. In turn, this will lead to failure of your 360. Never do it. It's literally water damage.

PS: My deepest condolences for your loss.

don't return the watercooling just go and buy the arcade 360 it comes with hdmi put the water cooling on that and see what happens. You could have gotten for several reason. Yet you said that you got the 3rol before you put the watercool in. Just start bwith a newer one and work from there.

What gave you the thought to put your 360 in the freezer?? Anyway as the guy above me said just go buy a new console and put the watercooling into that system.
