Nice, It's really good to see progress on Xbox1 emulators! Anyway is there any improvements on speed/compatibilty in specific games?

Is this your last Release ?

Yes, indeed, this is my last Surreal64 XXX Release.
I hope, you had as much fun as i had with the XXX releases.
You have been a great community, thanks a lot...
It never even left beta stage!
Thanks for all the hard work!
Edit: Will this affect any of the skins used on the previous versions?

Excellent!
maybe...just maybe Goldeneye will run a little smoother with these improvements.
If Freakdave releases his source code, perhaps someone can continue his work...

He will, according to his site.
I couldn't find it in the usual place..... considering the public releases Tech make of xbmc, I figure it's "allowed" to discuss this?
Edit: Sorry, I checked under the FDB folder, for some reason that's not the one he's using to upload in, but the surrealxxx folder.

I just tried it, Goldeneye is pretty much the same. Perfect Dark seemed a tiny bit smoother, but it was still pretty laggy before and after someone dies. But I definitely appreciate this release

Yes, this is the best gift for Xmas. Too bad it's freakdave's last release. One of the very few Xbox homebrew coders from my country.....
Anyway, great work, thank you for all you've done. He already released the source code and well, let's see what I can do.

I have been a bit away from N64 emulators on Xbox for a long time.
Last time I tried one it was to play Dr.Mario 64 and the medicine capsules
simple did not appear on the screen, turning the game impossible to
be played. I wonder - Can someone please try Dr.Mario64 on this release?
Thank you!

I downloaded Surreal xxxb5, but when I try to compile it with visual basic 2003 with xdk it gives me plenty of errors that make it so it cannot compile completely. So next I downloaded a older v1 surreal xxx and that source code gave me errors too so then I couldnt get the complete output. Can someone please help?! If you need more information like the errors just let me know and I'll send you the error log thanks so much.

I downloaded surrealxxxb5 from the usual place and no 'compiling' was needed. So I'm not sure what it is your trying to do, but I don't think it's necessary... maybe you just downloaded the source code that needs compiling, and if that's the case I'm sure you can find a pre-compiled version that runs as is.

Sorry to be rude, but Apparently you didn't look 'everywhere' why don't you try the stickied posts at the top of this forum?

Hi guys, I recently downloaded Surreal64 XXXB5 and I can't get any of my roms to load. I previously used Surreal64 v1.0 and was able to play most roms without any problems. When i select a game, emu and plug-in, my screen goes black immediately after the load rom screen. I still have v1.0 and have still been able to use it after I loaded the XXX Beta 5. I tried deleting the .ini from the TDATA\ae64fea54 folder and still no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Do i need to delete v1.0 first and move all my roms?
Edit: Actually I answered my own question lol. I had to move all the roms to the roms folder in the new emulation and everything ran fine. Figured i'd post it in case anyone else had this problem upgrading.

Very cool and long-awaited update! It's great to see surreal64 thriving and continuing to improve. One question though, does anyone know if Kobe Bryant's NBA Courtside will work?

Been out of the scene for a long time.
Three Questions:
1) Was Beta 5 the latest release of Surreal64?
2) Is it still out there in the wild to be downloaded?
3) Does anyone know if Super Mario 64 is fully playable on it and works well?
Thanks!

later Thanks Buddy! Can't wait to try and find it out there in the wild tonight!!! It's been a long time since I've done that. Darn Verizon FIOS caught off one popular method I used to use....so now I gotta remember how to do it through the old console screen route.

I use ultraHLE in SurrealXXX b5 for Super Mario 64, it has no screen tearing issues at all
(compared to the other 2), Mario's face will be white on the main menu, but thats ok.

Lol Super Mario 64 is by far one of the best emulated n64 rom on xbox... I do it with 1984.

I forget what settings I use since it's been for ever, but.....
Mario 64 - Basically Perfect
Mario Kart 64 - About 98% perfect
Goldeneye - About 85% perfect
Only three games I care about, so I'm pretty happy with those results since most of my N64 controllers stopped working right years ago.
