I was helping a friend with his chipped (smartXX) box, mainly just uploading a new version of XBMC and a few games, when i noticed that all the files that are usually located in the C: partition (evox.ini, evoxdash.xbe, evoxdash.cfg, etc) were duplicated in F:. on my softmodded xbox, those files only exist in C:

i figured i would try deleting the files in F: since they already existed in C: and i figured the worst that would happen was that the dash wouldnt load and i would simply ftp in and replace the files (i backed them up on my pc).

well i deleted the files, now it boots to the MS dash so i cant FTP back in to replace the files.

so can anyone please help me by telling me how to FTP back into the xbox? or get the dash to load properly? its a smartXX chipped xbox. thanks in advance.

Sounds like you have an F:/ booting bios, run SlaYers or put Evox on a CDRW and then copy it over from FTP.

and yes filezilla is set to passive mode. my 2nd softmodded xbox can ftp just fine. why is filezilla unable to retrieve the directory listing?

nevermind. i got in.

when set to active mode, filezilla connects, but only in evox. in xbmc it connects only when FZ is set to passive mode.

weird.
