Hello. I just had the nme 2.0 modchip installed professionally on my 360 elite system (hitachi v79)and it just returned to me today. I just tried to make a backup of the first game i grabbed, viva pinata. I used img burn to rip from a krean .81 drive, merged the SS bin i got from xbc to the iso file using nme associator, then burned the image to a verbatem 8x dvd+r dl disk at 2x speed using imgburn on my pioneer dvr 110D. Now in the directions to use imgburn it says to click the "change booktype" icon and select dvd+r DL under the drive you have but unfortunately i have a pioneer dvr 110d which isn't listed as a burner option (only saw benq, samsung, lite-scribe, some others) but was found to be just fine with compatability by other users. After everythings good and burned the 360 reads it as mixed media disc.

When I chose to burn the .iso from nero (just clicked burn image nothing else checked or unchecked), the 360 goes to a screen saying "to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console"

(update on the nero burn. After 360 restart the bar at the bottom says "play dvd and when pressed, goes to the "to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 console screen".)

Currently trying clone CD
(update) clone cd finished and gave same results as the nero burn (play dvd then going to the please insert into xbox 360 screen)
Any clues as to why? Thanks

I keep getting the same dreaded error message when I put my finished burnt backup into my modded xbox 360, with xtreme firmware, ‘to play this disc put in an xbox 360 console’
I’m hoping someone can help too, it would be extremely appreciated. I’ve ran out of ideas? I have tried everything without success.

I’ve ripped the image from my original game using my Samsung SH-D162C flashed with Kreon V1.0 firmware using Xbox Backup Creator V2.7 and Schtrom V3.4. Once I got the images on my hard drive I stealth check it with both programs and all have passed. I burnt both images using my Pioneer 112D with 1.24 firmware, with three different programs ImgBurn V2.3, Clone CD V5.3, XBC V2.7 and they all give the same result “to play this disc put in an xbox 360 console’

I have taken my xbox 360 back to the guy that done the modding just to make sure there was nothing wrong with the modchip and he tried one of his backups and it worked fine. That tells me I must be burning the images wrong somehow, but I can’t see how even he couldn’t explain it, because if the fault was the firmware or the laser I assume it wouldn’t play his backups. Below are details of my set up.

Windows XP Pro
1GB RAM
SATA Seagate 160GB HDD
Pioneer DVR-112D (1.24) IDE
Samsung SH-D162C DVD-ROM V1.0 Kreon firmware IDE
Lite-On DVDRW SHW-160P6S IDE

I’m thinking it could be my setup maybe having a SATA HDD and IDE DVD/ROM Drives might create a conflict. Anyone with ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

NME is very very picky about burners Pioneer 111D and 112D work great and any lite-on DL burner

hmm clonecd gives me an error of write failed! after 41 minutes into the write process. 360 says play dvd

Is anydvd running. I could not make backups that worked untill I stopped anydvd.

I did trust you and i am still getting errors i got the 112D and still same error msg as the guy that posted this. what does lite-on dl burner refer to? is it the boot seting because it wont let me set it with that drive.
