Connect Xbox360 Straight To PC, But With Router?

i was wondering if its possible to connect my xbox 360 to my pc in my room, because the router is in another room far away. I can't afford the wifi thing, isn't there a way to just configure a few things and get on it through an ethernet cable to my computer? I don't understand why it doesn't work, my PC is on the router too...

I have a wireless router Draytek Vigor 2800VG.

EDIT: I think its to do with getting on the 192.168.1.1 site and changing a few things and adding some IPs, could someone run it through with me? I can't find it on any of the guides.

Assuming your PC connects to your router over Wi-Fi and your Xbox is plugged into an ethernet port on your PC you can simply bridge the network connections.

View your Network connections, select both WLAN and LAN, right-click and select Bridge connections.
