According to this page here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsme...StepbyStep.aspx I need the XBOX Wireless Adapter to be able to stream music from my laptop to the 360. But currently I have the 360 hard wired with an ethernet cable to my router... so I don't understand why I wouldn't be able to stream music to the XBOX from my computer as it's connected to the same router (wired) that my PC is wirelessly. I would think that the wired connection to the router would be more reliable and probably faster. Have the intentionally crippled the XBOX in this respect so that one is forced to shell out for the Microsoft Wireless Adapter? It seems unnecessary to me. I just want the ability to stream tunes via my laptop to the XBOX with my current setup. Any advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks.

Of course its possible. I actually have mine setup that way.

just stick to using ethernet....it's faster and more stable.

you definitely do not have to purchase a wireless
adaptor to stream movies and music.
