hi, the dvd drive in my xbox gives constany firty disk errors, iv replaced the drive once before and i dont want to pay the money for a new one that is shit an will break. my question therefor is this: will a modchip alow me to use a p.c dvd drive? even just to install linux. from what i can see once a hacked bios is in you should(?) be able to play xbox game from it. can a p.c also be used for installing the hacked bios? the chip with bios ftp (xecutor 3?) is out of my price range so a p.c drive would be my only way of getting anything initialy installed. the chip im considering is the duoX 2 gs cromwell, would this be sutable?(i chose it for its cheapness )
