I was trying to make my XBMC as default dashboard using this method and i screwed up in the process. I made a copy of original boot file which i think was "xboxdash.xbe" and renamed it. So that original file is still on hard drive but with different name.

Now my Xbox won't boot up I mean when i try to boot, it gives me Error 16.

All I want to do is to access my hard drive and rename that file!! I have tried so many things but everything ends up requiring me to unlock my hard drive which i can't do because i never took backup of my hard drive meaning i don't have any eeprom.bin to unlock my hard drive. My Xbox is SOFTMODDED and can't any hot swapping either.

LUCKILY I CAN BORROW MY FRIEND'S XBOX WHICH IS ALSO SOFTMODED AND I HAVE AN EXTRA HARD DRIVE. CAN I INSTALL THAT HARD DRIVE INTO MY BROKEN XBOX WITHOUT ANY BACKUP FILES?

ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED!!
