I have a 03 xbox lying in pieces and i just noticed the HDD is missing. I have another HDD with the Cromwell Bios on it and i was wondering could you run the xbox off a 3 GB HDD. Another thing does anybody have a wiring diagram of the first dvd drive power cord.

BIOS files need to be installed into a console's modchip/TSOP if you plan on using a 3gb drive. If it's softmodded/unmodded, you can forget it.

If the HD is missing you have 2 options. You can add a mod chip or you can pull the HD key off the eprom and then use this to lock a new HD. You would then also need to rebuild the default dash on the new HD before installing it.
