I have not touched my PSP for nearly a year. It currently has 1.50 and I was using devhook to get it to 2.71

I now want to get onto Dark Alex's 3.80 m33 but need to know how to get there. Do I have to go to 3.52 then 3.71, then 3.80????????

Do I need any of the official Sony updates or is it m33's files all the way up???

Most of the guides I see tell me I need at least 3.71 to begin.

Thanks
James

I tried using the UPMS installer but I didn't have any luck. But I used Despertar del Cementerio and it works great. I used it on my 3.52 m33 and it upped the firmware without problems. But I think you might have to install a 3.52 m33 firmware to make the pandora's battery and memory stick.

to get to 3.80 M33 (by the way there is a 3.90 M33 out now) you have to follow this path:
1.5 -> 3.52 M33 -> 3.52 M33-3 -> 3.71 M33 -> 3.80 M33 (or to 3.90 M33 if you want)

You will need the official 1.5, 3.52, 3.71, 3.80/3.90 firmwares

The great thing about 3.80 and higher is that you can now update the firmware through the built-in network upgrade option. I had a hell of a time upgrading my 1.50 to 3.80, but now I'm laughing.

Good luck! smile.gif

Yeah, thats a really cool feature d_A put in....I love not having to deal with the eboot.pbp's and the .dsars, you just go over to the network update icon and it does everything smile.gif
