Does anyone know if the Intel ICH9R Raid controller is compatible with flashing Benq's and Samsung drives?

The documents I've seen only mention up to INTEL ICH7 and I'm not sure if they haven't been updated or it just isn’t compatible.

Also I haven’t found a clear answer too being able to use the Molex adapter that comes with the X360 usb that converts the power and puts a drive into Mode B is able to be used in place of keeping your Benq/Samsung drive plugged to the main board for power?

Thanks in advance.

I have a Dell Inspiron 530 which has ICH9R Sata chipset onboard, I have used it to mod many Samsung drives, and also Hitachi drives. I am unable to use the Slax disk to put hitachi drives into mode b though. I have not modded any benq drives with it yet, but samsung drives can be done with that chipset.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, with my p5k motherboard (ICH9 sata chipset) I could easily flash my Hitachi(?) by putting in mode B with slax on my old xbox, but just cannot flash my new Benq.

However with the price of via sata cards on ebay at the moment, its not that bad a problem.
