ok, bad thing happens sometime. i flashed a 79fl drive , got the orig.bin, then hacked.bin, flashing finishded no problem. when i put them together for testing, first time turned on , i got 3 red ring, i realised that the power cable was instered in a wrong way ( yes, shit happens) , then it's too late. the drive now does not eject, no laser movemet.

now what are my options? get a 79 drive or something from ebay and flash it as i still have the hacked.bin.
but do you guys here have any expereince as to what usually get damaged when thingd like that happens? i just tyr to fix the board.

if you plug in the power cable in backwards on the cd drive its nackerd.. there is nothing you can do to make it eject...

you will need a new drive!

ya your pretty much screwed, i know for sure that it kills the firmware chip and i know it kills something else (probably the main chip) so there's pretty much no hope for the drive board.

i have replacement drives in my bst, take a look.
