Mine broke my Fan, so I had to put the fans on the 12v under the Power supply.

Problem is, I still want these fans in, so is there another Power Source I can use for the LED's to work properly?

I was tempted to use the same one as I did for the fans, but Im concerned the LEDs will try and pull too much power, and do something bad to the console.

Im crap at all this, but Im good with a soldering iron, and if it works for others, Ill try it.

I also contacted the seller about it, and they just said "dont push your luck. Just dont install them." But the whole point of buying them is to use them!

Any ideas?

Yes, I'm pretty sure. Your 12v source can put out lol. I just 12v'd my fans and just used the fan power for the LED's. I don't see why the LED's strip I think your talking about cant handle 12v thoe. If you know what your doing soldering you cant ruin your board too easily, Ive shorted my board a number of times and screwed up many of times doing 12v stuff and it didn't break.

What Im thinking of doing is cutting the wire that goes from the 12v to the fans, and soldering the LEDs wire onto the cut wire, so power goes to both AND I dont have to take the MoBo out of the shell again!

Tried and failed.

The lights do come on, but not as bright as they SHOULD be.

When I flick the lights, one of them lights up to full brigness, but the rest dont.

If I flick it too much, then the 360 completely shuts down, and the PSU displays a red light.

Once I saw that, I gave up. Im assuming the lights are duff, so Ive been sold a dodgy batch of LEDs.

Thankfully, the 360 lives to fight (on COD4) another day!

Use the LED's with the fan adapter for power and they will be bright. Use 12v or 7v on your fans using the under side of the board. I don't think your LED's are bad. Keep trying!

What I had originally was one fan powered on the underside of the board, and one powered by the adapter (for some reason, the adapter wouldnt power both fans, just the left one) So I might give that a whirl.
