can some one post pictures/ explain to me the difference of the hd vs sd with a xbox 360 o na 16:9 tv?

No need for pics, SD is crap, HD is good!
Seriously though, if you have an SD TV then it will look OK, but why would you even consider it if you have an HDTV?

Ever watch an SD tv show on your 16:9 TV?? It gets all fuzzy, that's what your game will look like. If you have HD, why would using SD even be a question.

right click your desktop goto properties and set your resolution to 640x480.... thats SD while HD is 1280x720 (720p) or 1920x1080 (1080p/i)

not exactly as TV HD is actually natively widescreen. on a PC with a non widescreen monitor, the closest thing to it is 1024 x 768 and 1280 x 1024

I believe SD is 720x576 (4:3), google this topic OP I'm sure it's been compared before.

i think 720x576 is ED (enhanced definition). its still classed as standard definition but just a little higher
