Im putting together a solderless solution together for the passkey. You still have to remove the epoxy. But then this just clamps on. You guys think i could market this?

Where would it clamp to? and what would keep the pins in place to not require solder?

it clamps to the outside of the drive after you take off the bottom of the drive. it hold the ribbon holder in place. Still thinking how to avoid not soldering the 3v. AFter putting more thought into it..anyone who manages to get that epoxy off shouldnt worry about a little soldering.

Share with us a picture of it (or if you haven't made it yet, a theoretical image) please! biggrin.gif

Havent made it yet. I work with plastic injection molding so i easily could have one made up. I have 2 ideas. one have it clamp on to the sides of the drive and hold the ribbon in place...still may have to solder the 3v...also one idea was to screw it in to the 2 empty holes from removing the bottom of the case and hold the ribbon in place. My budy fellow xbox modder is attempting to make one out of the original drive holder from an xbox 1 haha. But it could defiantly be done.

would be difficult to do, digging the epoxy out from between the legs would be difficult, I have a heck of a time as it is when I have to pull the SST to unbrick a drive ona n external programmer
