I cant seem to find any guides to flashing my Hitachi Xbox 360...

It is already flashed, but with a very old firmware. I am looking to take this Xbox with the latest & greatest firmware and take it for a spin on XBL... Is that a good idea? Or should I just snag another 360?

Btw, I didn't flash my 360 the first time.

did you even search at all? i can find plenty of hitachi tutorials, even a few links in this forums stickies (which you should always read before posting, they are there for a reason)

I have a few questions...

Can I use the Xecuter Connectivity Kit V1 and flash my Hitachi drive? What about other drives?

Also, according to the guide, it seems fairly painless to flash a 360 if I have the Connectivity Kit, or if I use any method for that matter. However I get lost once it actually talks about flashing...

Don't use that , use Textbooks guide . It explains EVERYTHING . Also Xtreme 2.1 isn't reccomended for online play . Use Ixtreme 1.4

Sorry to hijack your thread Zen, but is MS currently banning only when you go online with a burnt copy or do they detect the firmware itself? If that's true the best bet is to just use the latest firmware and keep the network cable unplugged or don't go on live with a burnt copy?

I am contemplating go online just because if I do get banned then so be it. Then by then, the 360 would have had a price drop and I'll snag another 360.
