I have a samsung sh-d162c with latest kreon software and a pioneer 111d. Before i formatted my drive and swapped my mobo I was using vista and I used backup creator 2.6 to rip my original and then burn with imgburn with no problems. However, i changed my mobo and downgraded to xp pro (as my sata raid card wasnt compatible with the new mobo and vista) and since then I havent been able to burn a working backup. I can create an iso image but if I use imgburn to burn it it wont play. Ive verified it with the original and it all works the same. I have latest ixtreme 1.4 on my hitachi 59.
Im using the same discs I always use (thats been recommended by many).
The things ive changed is new hd (now sata running off new mobo not my old IDE), then 2 dvd rom drives that are running off the IDE channel from the mobo (i have no spare ide ports now hence the new sata HD). My old IDE HDs are running off the sata raid card which had a spare IDE port. I thought this might be too slow for burning from so I transfered my iso to my sata drive but still same result. The discs look the same when burnt.

Just to add that ive checked the non working backups using my pioneer 111d drive and xdvdmulleter and it comes back with all correct and present.
I think my hitachi in my xbox is ok as it plays some other backups I have. If i try and play this non working backup the screen goes blank for about 3 seconds then it comes up with the disc needs cleaning.Ive done 3 backups of the same iso now using good discs, 1 doesnt read in xdvdmulleter but the other 2 come up ok but give same error as above.

Same discs as in Verbatims? If so, make sure they're Made in Singapore as opposed to India. If they're anything else, they're crap...unless they're MIS Sonys.

It wasnt the discs, ive been using the same ones (Aeon) for 2 years and only had a few coasters out of about 100.
I tried backing up another one of my originals and that has burnt perfectly and works so it was a bad backup.
