I guess this way last place is more appealing.

Because it was easy to sign up. Just go on with your life and don't think about it and you won't have a problem. One day, maybe they'll call you out of the blue and it'll be a nice surprise. If not, you wasted 30 seconds of your life.

Their prize list is all jacked up. Even the official rules list the prizes in the wrong order.
Id want a year of LIVE free rather than a baseball cap.
On another note, that was probably the least painless internet sweepstakes I've ever entered. I bet I'll get a ton of Rockstar emails even though i didn't check the boxes.

I think the first prize is first, then the rest are in reverse order. I mean, why would someone want 3rd place over 4th?

People getting pissed about the prize list being in disorder

It's not like they'll call you and say something like: "You won! Which prize do you want? Do you want the first prize or the last?"

Gotta love US only contests. Really, WHAT.THE.HELL., I'm right over the friggin border in Canada, does it cost that much to send it the extra like 30 miles?
Anyways, good thing I know somebody, just signed up with their address.

Again MS proves that they think that US = the whole world. Really tired of this crap now, it's always the same story... why can't everybody compete ffs.

The main reason its US only is because of legal reasons......each country has different tax stuff........and legality on giveaways

It actually says a rockstar baseball BAT.
Are we supposed to use it to smash people's brains in and steal their car?

Its gonna cost me about 10 dollars to go retrieve this package assuming I win. It's like 6 or 7 bucks at the border and then 2 dollars to pick the package up at the location I specified as "my address".
If they're giving away a 70 dollar Live! subscription, 10 bucks is whats setting them off? And they don't they have offices or what have you in Canada?
Oh but I forgot, it must cost alot of money to send packages from that far off other galaxy of the United States.
Seriously its not even 30 miles.

Yeah, I saw that too. I'd rather have the RockStar bat than a year of live. It'd be cool if its got the GTA logo on it, maybe a screen shot, or box art on it.

One Grand Prize: One winner will score a four-day/three-night trip for two to New York City to attend the Xbox LIVE Gold Party - Obviously First place
Ten First Prizes: Custom Xbox 360 Elite console - Second place
Five hundred Prizes:500 Microsoft Points - 7th place
One Thousand Prizes:1000 Microsoft Points - 8th place
Two hundred Prizes:1600 Microsoft Points - 6th place
Five hundred Prizes:One-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription - 5th place
Two Hundred Prizes:Three-month Xbox LIVE Gold subscription - 4th
One Hundred Prizes:One-year Xbox LIVE Gold subscription - 3rd place
Placing is almost always determined based on quantities. i.e. Last place wouldn't be a 1 year Gold Live subscription. Just doesn't make sense.
