That's correct, all Pioneer drives set the booktype automatically to +R for DL media.

my 112d no longer reads or wrights cd's. i searched online in the pioneer site and found this article pioneer will it seems that pioneer will replace it for free but i dont think they make those drives anymore. so i will probably get a newer model and i would really like to know if this new drive will set booksetting automatically.

it is still not working.

will the article just say some models have a problem reading and writing cd's after prolong use of the drive. in some cases this will not occur but there are some rare cases that it does. mine just happens to be one of those rare cases.

will any way they are going to replace for free those drives that happens to stop reading and writing cd's.
