Trent's done it again. Finally free from their contract with Interscope, NIN has released a 2hr instrumental album. There's a free download of the first 9 tracks (of 36), and even an official torrent. There is also a full $5 download all the way up to a $300 signed limited lp/cd set.

The whole album is available in lossless flac and under creative commons.

This is the way music should be sold.

Oh, and the servers have apparently been getting raped since about 10pm last night, so downloads have been flaky.

I think that is the only torrent link you are going to get away with here.

I finally got through and paid for the CDs ($10 +7 shipping) but was unable to download the zip file. It kept failing part of the way through, so I ended up getting it elsewhere. I just couldnt wait for it.

I really hope this works out well, it is a great new business model for the music industry. Don't use lawyers to secure your business, think outside the box and give the customer what they want.
