in my modded xbox i have a physically broken dvd drive there is a little plastic piece thart is broken therefore not allowing the dvd drive to close. well this is causing the xbox to take 30 seconds to a minute to shut down and it will not reboot... can i just unplug the drive on the inside. or what can i do to disable the drive.

you can flash your TSOP..THEN you can disconnect it and it will run....if not you will get a error when u boot up......

and flashing your tsop is alot ezer than people think.

just solder 2 points on the mobo then goto evox and flash a new bios.

I also recommend TSOP flashing, though if you have a 1.6 box there's still another alternative.
