Heya, I need to flash a new bios onto my Xbox, but many, many different attempts have all proven hopeless, so it is suspected that flash protection is enabled on it. All the sales info indicates that the unit is superior because flash protection can be enabled and disabled on it, but there is no mention of it in the manufacturer's 64 page manual anywhere. I also can't find it after several hours of hunting through various forum postings., can anybody please advise me on this one? FYI, mine is NOT a Xenium gold, I guess it's the older white version.

Turns out some bonehead altered and redistributed the manual. Picked up the real thing, followed it closely, and voila!

Turns out I had a bogus manual edited and redistributed by some doofus. ANyways, got the real thing, followed the instructions carefully, and no probs!!!
