Hey, I just got my xbox a few weeks ago and ive tinkered with it a bit. Its been working fine and all of a sudden I turn it on and there's no audio. Video works fine, controllers work, games run, just the audio doesnt come out. I've tried two different cables and tried it on various tv's. Any Ideas on what it could be and how to fix it?? Thanks for any help.

I have continued testing and have only found that when connected, the speakers make an extremely faint buzzing sound. Any ideas?

If anyone has any ideas whatsoever please help me out, I would hate to have to sell this thing just over busted audio

Anyway it could be connected to the HANA/ANA chip like most video problems?

I just ran into this issue with a customers. It was working fine, then I heard a "pop" sound, and now no sound at all. Tried different cables, the usual. I guess its possible it is in the HANA/ANA chip, though I'm thinking it is probably in the traces to/from it, or possibly in the southbridge. Going to try some rounds of heat gunning.

I've heatgunned my board about three times top and bottom. still no sound. i bet it has something to do with a resistor or capacitor or something linking to the audio.
